Raising Registered Texas Longhorns was a pipe dream we thought was just out of reach for us. We would talk about owning a big longhorn farm as we lived on .2 acre in a neighborhood house in the suburbs. In 2021 we finally decide it was time to give it a shot. We built our house, grew our family by 2 boys and took a chance on making our dream a reality. We couldn’t be more excited to join the longhorn community.
I (Matt) grew up in a small town in southeastern Missouri raised in the commercial cross bred beef industry. I was often told “you can’t eat the horns”, but I have always been interested in longhorns. I have fully immersed myself in the industry. I enjoy studying pedigrees, talking with seasoned and new breeders and take pride in having a great herd early in my longhorn career. Stef was born and raised in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio. Though she didn’t grow up around cattle or animals she has learned to love longhorns and is equally eager to be apart of the longhorn community. We have two sons, the Bourbon Brothers of Bourbon Brothers Livestock. Jeremy and Lane are cow loving wild boys who love running through the pastures, playing in creeks, collecting rocks and taking care of their cows. We couldn’t be happier to raise them in the longhorn industry and have them share in our passion for longhorns.
We strive to raise the total package animal with great horns, lots of color, good confirmation and the best disposition.
